Changing the color of text font is a simple and quick way to highlight that message.

There are two basic ways to do this in HyperCode: using the style tag or the color tag.

For about 150 "named colors", colors that have names in HTML/CSS, the hexadecimal color code can be replaced by the color name, making it clearer and more readable for those reading or editing the page code.

But HyperCode still has an even more compact way to reference one of the named colors: just use the color name itself as a tag.

Below you will find a list of all HTML/CSS Named Colors that can be used as tags in HyperCode.

It is worth noting that color names, whether used as tags or as property values, are case-insensitive and can be written in UPPERCASE, lowercase, or MiXeDcAsE.

This information applies only to the text "forecolor", that is, the color of the letters themselves.

To change the background color of a text snippet, you can use the style tag or the backcolor tag, or even one of the named colors prefixed with b., for example b.yellow

To change the text BACKGROUND color, use the tags [style="background-color:xxxx"] or [backcolor="xxxx"], where "xxxx" can be a hexadecimal color value (preceded by #) or a named color.

The color Tag

The color Tag is used to indicate that the text, from that point onward, will have the letters highlighted in a color different from the one previously specified or the document default.

Syntax:

color indicates one of the HTML/CSS/HyperCode Named Colors or a valid hexadecimal value in HTML/CSS, such as #FF00FF or #fff.

Anonymous property

The "color" property can be omitted and the color value can be provided directly after the tag name.

Additional properties

Like most HyperCode Tags, color optionally accepts the properties class, style, and id. See Class, Style, id

Tag [backcolor]

The backcolor Tag is used to indicate that the text, from that point onward, will have the background highlighted in a color different from the one previously specified or the document default.
