Learn about the requirements to install and use HyperFluxCMS, to prepare to create and publish your site.

To install HyperFluxCMS, you need access to a Web server that must be WINDOWS hosting with .NET Core 8.0.

There is a possibility that it works on Linux servers with .NET Core, but we do not guarantee, recommend, or provide support. Try at your own risk.

Note that we are talking about the SERVER where the file will be hosted, not YOUR computer, which you will use to access the server, make publications, configure HyperFluxCMS, upload images, etc. On the client side (you and whoever will publish content), you only need a computer or laptop with Internet access and preferably using a monitor with Full HD resolution (1920x1080 pixels) and an updated web browser. It can be Windows, Mac, Linux, etc. Publishing from a tablet or cell phone is possible but may be impractical.

For installation and initial configuration, you will also need some information and instructions that will be provided by the company from which you hired hosting, such as an SMTP server and a valid email account.

You will need:

  • the login and password to the control panel (typically Plesk)
  • the address of the website control panel
  • the name/title of the web site
  • a subtitle of the web site
  • a text for the copyright info (optional)
  • the address and IP Port number of the e-mail SMTP server
  • the e-mail address, login and password for at least one email account for sending information by the "contact-us" page
  • the e-mail address of the e-mail that will receive such messages

The address, login and password should be will be provided to you by the web hosting provider.

The e-mail address, login, password of the SENDER account will be provided by the web hosting provider or will be created by you using the web site control panel (like Plesk). It is not on the scope of this document teach how to do that, but you can find explanations and tutorials on the internet.

the e-mail IP address and port number are informed by the hosting provider or can be seen in the e-mail account configuration (in an option like "manual e-mail client configuration" or something like that)

The e-mail address opf the RECEIVER e-mail is of your free choice.

The name, title, subtitle and copyright info are also of your free choice.

Also have paper and pen on hand to write down the access passwords that will be generated during installation. If you lose them, you will have to delete everything and reinstall again.

HyperFluxCMS comes ready with some pages that every site should have: privacy policy, contact form, about us, etc. You will need to edit the pages to update the information according to your needs.

You will also need (not mandatory, but recommended) an image of your company logo, preferably in .PNG format with a transparent background.

You may also want to replace the background images of the header and the footer. It is recommended that they are images in the format JPG, in proportion 3:1 to 4:1 (wide), high compression rate (max 200kb each), in resolutions such as 900x300 or 1200x300 pixels.

The current version of HyperFluxCMS comes with only two built-in themes/color schemes: one light and one dark. If you don't like either of them and want to change the color scheme or the positions and shapes of the elements, you will need to have knowledge of HTML and CSS or hire a web designer to make the site look the way you want.
